Terminus Soundtrack Disc
Terminus is a space shooter/simulation game set 200 years in the future, a time where Earth and Mars are on the brink of war. Todd Masten created an excellent soundtrack to accompany the space sceneries. Atmospheric new age and militaristic anthems are what the album consists of, in a fusion of synth, orchestral and jazz instruments. It could be described as the older cousin of Mass Effect.

This is the new music from the GOLD expansion to Jets’n'Guns, an intense shmup for PC. The music genre is described as “SID Metal” by the composers themselves, which is a mix of retro Commodore 64 sounds and heavy rock elements. Not the kind of soundtrack to fall asleep to!

This 3D turn-based strategy game is the last released title from developer Zed Two Limited, and features Tim Follin’s penultimate solo VGM soundtrack. The music mainly crosses folk and rock genres with electric guitar, fiddle, ethnic woodwinds, and more. Most tracks are upbeat, though some are more serious and ambient. Tim’s compositions here are strong, affirming his status as a quality musician of 20 years.

Based on the cartoon, this lighthearted racing game was developed by Appaloosa (Ecco, Three Dirty Dwarves, Tiny Tank). Attila Héger & co. injected lots of jazz throughout the soundtrack. Each of the four locations has a specific genre ranging from western to big band to funk to bossa nova.

If you know this game, you’re special! An obscure strategy title from Russia with a soundtrack that doesn’t fit it too well. The story is set in what appears to be the medieval era while the music is ’70s blues-rock. But it’s pure goodness if you’re a fan of the genre. The in-game theme clocks at an epic 26:08!
